Lab Facilities Cold room, small wet chemistry lab on-site. Biochemical lab with all equipment necessary for structural studies in Biotechnology Building (a 10-minute walk away).
Biohazard The BL-2 facility at F-1 is available. Contact the staff.
Software ADX package from ADSC for CCD and overall control; rspec and spec for other hardware control; http://www.macchess.cornell.edu/MacCHESS-2006/crystallography_software.html
Hardware Linux computers for data collection, data processing, automatic crystal centering, backup and for station. hardware control.
Backup Devices Users are welcome to bring their own laptop or other computers to CHESS for data processing and backup. IP addresses can be set up easily with DHCP, and static addresses are also available. MacCHESS supports IEEE 1394 (FireWire) and USB 2.0 connections on Mac and Linux. The Macs support FireWire 800 (IEEE 1394b). Several DVD drives available.
